Getting Started
In order to get started, eligible participants must complete the following steps:
1. SDSU Admissions- Apply for admission to SDSU. For more information on admissions for military - connected students, please visit theJoan and Art Barron Veterans Center.
Once your eligibility is determined, a T2E team member will reach out to you to schedule a one-on-one orientation appointment.
3. Orientation- A one-on-one meeting with a T2E program coordinator is required to go over program details and information. You will also be asked to complete the Troops to Engineers Program Intake form and submit an updated resume.
4. Emerging Engineer Identity Course- This course is dedicated to assisting student veterans navigate all the possible resources available to them as they transfer to SDSU. The completion of this course is required for students to remain eligible for program benefits (i.e. professional development workshops, networking events, career fairs, etc.).

Designed to give a detailed look into T2E program support system that will help engineering student veterans succeed in their academic journey, introduce them to a network of industry professionals, and assist in crafting their path to success in a civilian career.
This course is offered to all Student Veterans interested in Engineering.
Yes. Students who have been accepted to SDSU, submitted thier "Intent to Enroll," and have an activated SDSUid Email account in the Spring Semester preceeding their transfer are invited to apply to Troops to Engineers.
Yes. The Program is open to both undergraduate and graduate students who meet all other eligibility criteria.
While T2E partners typically look to employ the unique skills and expertise provided by Student Veterans, T2E is commited to supporting all military connected students at SDSU. However, there are some services that are reserved for Student Veterans only.
